Garbage Pickup  It was a clear and nice day for the pick up and we certainly appreciate all of the community members who care enough to clean up after people who are careless litterbugs. Thank you to Arni and Luella Gomke, Vince Rubino, Joyce and Tim Brunner, George Kaye, Nita Parks, Linda Althouse, Marshall Bjork, Bill Sargent, David & Cynthia Waterman, Lester Johnson, Ron & Marilyn Roberts, Earl Holland, Jeff & Alison Meslin, Todd Funk, Kristen Osburn, John & Candy Blahnik, Paul Maurer, Josh Johnson & Don Peterson.  We appreciate your energy and support of this project and hope that people traveling through Big Arm will enjoy it's litter-free beauty and pledge to keep it that way. Also, thanks to neighbors who cleaned side streets!  [Top]

Potluck & Presentation  Dinner followed by a talk by Deb Weidrich, a registered dietitian, on Nutrition & Your Health.  [Top]

Potluck & Presentation  Dinner followed by a talk on bear safety by Ron Roberts.  [Top]

Christmas Party   5:00pm: Potluck supper and 7:00pm carol singing.  Come to one or both and bring your neighbors and friends!  [Top]

HOOTENANNY    Coffee & dessert.  Sing-along  with Will, Lou & Friends from "Big Ed" to old time favorite songs.  Our sing along was delightful.  18 neighbors turned out despite the 18o temperature.  The upstairs of the fire hall was very cozy and when we could stay in tune we sounded great!   We all so thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!  [Top]

The Halloween Party  took place at the fire hall on October 28 with ugly witches, monsters, Dracula,  goblins, a blackened maze with  ghosts, cobwebs, scary spiders and more.  Thank you so very much to everyone who helped create this spooky haunted house and thanks to those families we had the pleasure of scaring!  The helpers were the Phillips family, the Driscoll family, Ron & Trish Friez, Denise Worthington, Cynthia Waterman, the Weidrich family, the Brandenberg family, Jeff & Alison Meslin, Kristin Osborn and more.  [Top]

Big Arm School Days  A delight with Joyce Decker Wegner bringing history to life with stories and a slide presentation of old photographs. Joyce will be completing a book on the Lake County School Histories which can be ordered in advance.  Another worthwhile book on local history is “In the Shadows of the Missions” a few copies are left. (For info,  contact Alison or Jan) [Top]

Highway Pickup  Another cold & rainy day was selected for the second garbage collection from six miles of road through Big Arm.  24 brave souls  wearing waterproof clothing spent Saturday morning keeping Big Arm beautiful  and did it without complaint.  4 more went out Sunday to complete the last stretch.  On behalf of the community we whole heartedly thank these special people…...Marsha & Vince Rubino, Deb Weidrich, Kristin Osborn, Lester Johnson, Tom & Bonnie Eddy, Jan & Jim Phillips, Alison Meslin, Nita Parks, Linda Althouse, Wayne Engbretson, Tam & Sally Frey, Heidi & Katharina Medland, Paul & Karen Maurer, Dave Waterman, Earl Holland, Tim & Cindy Beebe, Tim & Joyce Bruner, Ron & Marilyn Roberts, and  Bill Sargent.  THANK YOU!  [Top]

Potluck Dinner  was most enjoyable with 55 residents bringing really delicious food and mouth watering desserts.  [Top]
