This should be a lot of fun please sign up for a few hours a month. Let us know about people who might enjoy “The Visitors”. Garbage Pick Up:-Sept. 16 starting 9 am at Fire Hall. It has been a long wait from January of this year when we first started the application for the new 25 year renewable lease but finally all the requirements have been met and we can start the renovations. We heartily thank all of the Tribal people who were involved in this process but especially Mary Driscoll as without her diligence this lease approval would not have happened. Charlie Becker and Jeff Meslin will start the septic system on Friday September 15, please stop by and offer your help. When the septic is in the next project will be hooking into the tribal water supply. Once both of these projects are completed, pipes and connections tested, the renovations of the building will begin. Insulation will be installed in the attic, toilets, sinks and shower will be connected, sheetrock up and down will be taped and painted. Floor covering will be installed, doors hung, the outside will be repaired and painted etc. all of which will require many willing volunteers. We are happy to announce some of the firemen from station #1 have volunteered to help us with our project. The tentative work dates will be towards the end of September and most of October so if you can spare a few hours please add your name to the work sign up sheet or call us, thank you good neighbors! The July Ballot: The vote to continue the same leadership was unanimous, thank you for your vote of confidence. All of the leaders will do their best for the community. We had 3 new volunteers as leaders. 2 communication leaders, Deborah Weidrich and Kelly Bishop who will be keeping the newspapers and other media sources updated with BAA news. Tom Eddy is our new webmaster and has already begun to design our new web page which will eventually include the monthly news- |
